Night 1: Take overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai
Please, be ready at your hotel lobby at 19.30 for a short transfer to Hanoi railways station. Tonight you will travel to Lao Cai on sleeping train in the most comfortable 4 bed cabin on Livitrans Express or Ratraco Travel Train.

Day 1: Lao Cai Sapa Town’s Highlights
The train arrives in Lao Cai early at about 05.00, meet your guide as you check out the station. In a private car, you will travel uphill the Hoang Lien Son mountains to Sa Pa and enjoy as many stops as you wish for over views of valleys and terraced rice fields as well as magnificent scenery.

Breakfast and check in Fansipan View hotel upon arrival to Sa Pa if your room available. Later your guide will show you around this charming town for a brief introduction. Ten minute walk from Fansipan View hotel, you will be the market where ethnic minority people of different groups wearing their traditional costumes made by themselves comes every day selling local products includes vegetable, bamboo shoot, mushroom, medicinal herbs and souvenirs…there are chances to get intact and taking photos. Later you will follow the footsteps uphill to the top of Ham Rong Mountain for over viewing beautiful scenery of the town and surrounding area, paying visit to an orchard garden and a mini museum which tell you a lot about ethnic minority people living in Sa Pa and the northwest.

Evening is set free at your leisure. You may have dinner at the fine restaurant of the Fansipan View Hotel or your guide may help you to book a table in a chosen restaurant in town.

Day 2: Ta Phin Commune Silver Waterfall Tram Ton Pass
Today morning, you will visit Ta Phin commune. Located in a large valley, surrounded by high mountains, which covered by pine trees and forest, Ta Phin Commune is home to the Red Zao and Black H’mong ethnic. Although living close to each other for years, these two ethnic peoples are very different: The H’mong are cheerful and open minded while the Red Zao are economical and reserved…

Your guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel for a transfer to the center of the valley and from here take an easy walk following village path around the valley, passing by and paying visit to Black Hemming houses scattering on mountain slopes. From high elevation, great view of the valley stretching under your feet. Continue your walk to the Red Zao village in which you will meet groups of women making handicrafts includes embroidered clothes, handbags… Drive back to your hotel and enjoy noon break.

Meet your guide and driver again for a leisure trip. The drive uphill offers most spectacular scenery of Fansipan Mount. Just a kilometer out of the town, rose flower farms and later chayote grows on bamboo frames covered a vast area. We’ll stop at the magnificent Silver Waterfall before reaching to the top of the highest mountain pass in Vietnam. The wind blows stronger to force the clouds moving constantly. It is the best point here to enjoy breathtaking scenery of the two side of Fansipan Mountain Range. Amazingly that the weather is very different by the side: In many days It is foggy and cloudy on Sa Pa side and sunny brightly the other side.

The rest time in the afternoon and evening is set free at your leisure.

Day 3: Visit Muong Hoa Valley
Two high ranges of mountains run in parallel north of Sapa town create a narrow and long valley, the Muong Hoa, the most famous valley for its breathtaking scenery valley in the region which is home to the major part of Sa Pa’s ethnic population including the H’mong, Zao, Zay, Tay and Xa Pho.

Today you will spend the whole day exploring the spectacular Muong Hoa. Your car will take you along the only road built on the side of a mountain range, looking down the valley, over viewing magnificent landscapes composed of high mountains, deep valleys, and stream of water winding, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies…Many time, leaving the main road, you will enjoy short walk to tribal villages such as Ta Van of the Zay, Su Pan of the Black H’mong, Ban Ho of the Tay… meeting locals at home and at works. Leaving Ban Ho in afternoon and driving back to Sapa. Evening time and Dinner is set at your leisure.

Day 4: Full day joining a tribal traditional market Overnight train to Hanoi
Depending on what date it is today, you can choose one of the market available for your interest in our market list and we shall refine a detail itinerary and activities.

After a day joining locals and enjoying their market atmosphere and activities, you will arrive Lao Cai Station at about 6.00Pm, having a shower before boarding the overnight train for Hanoi which arrive the next morning and trip ends.
